Spent my New Year's holiday in a cozy hotel in the heart of the Scottish mountains. The location was perfect as there were plenty of opportunities for skiing and hiking nearby. Not to mention the quaint village center where we discovered a lovely, traditional pub. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food was top-notch, especially the hearty breakfasts which kept us fueled for all our outdoor adventures. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a warm respite from the cold winter weather.
There were not many negative aspects to our stay, however, the bathroom in our room was a bit small, making it cramped for two people at times. , while we enjoyed the traditional furnishings of the hotel, it could use some updating in certain areas to make it feel fresher.

Had a great weekend in the Scottish Highlands. Loved the location of the hotel as it was close to many small castle towers and the beautiful Cairngorm National Park. the hotel had a lovely family-run vibe, and the restaurant served delicious Scottish breakfast and meals. the staff was helpful in giving us recommendations for local dining options when the hotel's restaurant was closed on Sundays.
The hotel's bar and restaurant had limited seating, so we had to make sure to book ahead of time. due to its cozy setup, the hotel was a bit noisy at night, and we could hear other guests through the walls.
